Bhama Roget

Improvisor  |  Solo Creator  |  Singer-Songwriter

Bhama is a multidisciplinary art-maker who has been called “a Dada-ist genius” by Playwright Amy Freed, and “the best comic actress I have ever seen” by Mick LaSalle of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Mixing the genres of rock music, improvisation, clowning and comedy, and good old fashioned ennui, her work is simultaneously stunningly relevant and divinely absurd.

Bhama has performed in esteemed comedy venues and festivals all along the Western United States, including San Francisco Sketchfest, Second City Diversity in Comedy Festival, Mutiny Radio Comedy Festival and Robin Williams' beloved Throckmorton Theatre.

With a virtuosic range of powerhouse vocals, she has shared the stage with the likes of Eric Idle, Weird Al Yankovic, Molly Sides of Thunderpussy, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and is largely George but sometimes Paul in Seattle’s lauded Beatleconcert, a yearly tribute to the Beatles’ studio years by some of Seattle’s best rock musicians.

On the stage as well as big and small screens, she has performed in several world premieres at such theaters as South Coast Repertory, California Shakespeare Theatre, Artist’s Repertory Theatre, and Seattle Repertory Theatre, as well as on television in Leverage and Grey’s Anatomy.

Her solo show "Hippiecrit" premiered at Theatre Off Jackson’s Solo Performance Festival and was later re-purposed into her online comedy series "The Bhama Show."
