The Edge Improv
Bainbridge Peforming Arts

Bainbridge Island, WA

My beloved Improv Group of which I have been a member for (gulp) 25 years. I guess it’s technically “oldprov” now. But whatever. It’s the best thing in the entire world and I would share a toothbrush with any one of them.

Hedwig

This show basically launched my career in Seattle and remains one of the impactful and formative experiences I have had as an artist.

What a singular moment in time with some really beautiful artists.

Lift up your hands.

Cookus Interruptus

Seattle, Washington

My dear friend and fellow Edge member Cynthia Lair led a double life for many years as a Nutritionist and Professor at Bastyr University.

Cynthia had an idea that she wanted to make a cooking show that was also a sitcom where she plays a woman trying to make some extra cash by making a cooking show whilst her unemployed family constantly interrupts her.

In addition to being delightful, Cynthia serves up delicious and nutritious recipes from her hit cookbook “Feeding the Whole Family.”

You’re going to want to try the chicken thighs in chocolate enchilada sauce.

Bartell Drugs TV Ads

Seattle, Washington

This was a really fun campaign for Bartell Drugs that I did for a few years.

These spots were so expertly written for me by Wong Doody’s Jennie Moore, and director David Leonard had the curious habit of not saying “cut” for a really long time so I would always just keep talking thinking “when is he gonna say it?”

That’s how these outtakes were born.

RIP Bartells.

The Bhama Show
Theater Off Jackson

Seattle, Washington

In 2013 I wrote a show for Theatre Off Jackson’s Solo Performance Festival called “Hippiecrit: I want to change the world, I just don’t feel like it.”

The show featured numerous video sketches which were repurposed, along with some standup, into ‘The Bhama Show.’

This was my first standup set outside of an open mic. I decided to do an hour. I am on Valium. Enjoy!

Circus

Seattle, Washington

During the pandemic I rekindled my love for the weird and bendy world of circus, something I haven’t unearthed since working with the UMO ensemble in my early Seattle days.

I finally found something that uses all of my talents. Trapeze Comedy!

Beatleconcert

Seattle, Washington

For 4 years now, some of Seattle’s finest musicians have gotten together to play the closest thing you would ever see to an actual Beatles show.

Featuring Seattle bass-goddess Rebecca Young, guitar weeper Tim DiJulio, guitar percussion and super-pipes Jeff Brown (Downpilot, Half Rushmore) drum wunderkind Aaron O’Neil, drum legend Michael Musburger (The Posies), Ric Penttila and Max Rose on horns and yours truly on vocals, percussion and recorder.

Just on Fool on the Hill. That’s the only song I know on the recorder.

THIS SHOW IS STILL ALIVE, so contact me for booking information!

Acting-Schmacting

I have also done quite a bit of thee-ater and occasionally been on the tee-vee.

From silly twats and hookers to corpses... who’s an artist? I AM!!
